The new facelifted Malaysian made Proton Gen-2 which was revealed for the first time in Thailand earlier finally arrived on Malaysian shores. This facelifted version gets a new series of engines which has Cam Profile Switching (CPS) mechanism, another variant of Campro engine.
Campro Cam Profile Switching meaning: A mechanism which allows the valve timing to be altered so that can be strong performance at both of low rpm and high rpm, unlike conventional way, engineers have to choose whether high performance at higher rpm and sacrifice at lower rpm or vice versa.. Campro CPS enables the best of "both world".
